Refund Policies
Different refund policies might apply to parts of your order depending on the types of products or services in your order. Please review the policies related to the products or services you have ordered. If you don't see an entry for the type of item you ordered, please use the Contact Us button at the bottom right corner of the screen to ask for the refund policy covering that type of item.
Merchandise can be exchanged, credited, or refunded within 30 days of purchase. Returns after 30 days are at the discretion of the Ohio History Store.
Conditions for Returned Merchandise
1. The item should be new, unused, and in its original packaging with all associated tags.
2. All returns should be approved by the Ohio History Store before they are sent back. Contact the customer service department toll-free by phone (800.797.2357) or via e-mail.
3. When your request is authorized, you will be given a Return Authorization Number, which should be included with the item when it is returned. Return shipping fees are the sole responsibility of the customer, and the original shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable.
Holiday Returns
Items shipped between November 1 and December 31 may be returned until January 31 of the following year for a full refund. Please contact customer service to authorize the return (800.797.2357).
Death certificate and vital records copy orders can only be cancelled or refunded if we have not started processing the order (usually within 24 hours of receiving the order). Contact vitalrecords@ohiohistory.org to cancel or change an order if it has been less than 24 hours since the order was placed.
Custom digitization, image processing, and microfilm duplication fees are non-refundable after files/products have been delivered.
All National Register Certificate sales are final.
