Refund Policies
Different refund policies might apply to parts of your order depending on the types of products or services in your order. Please review the policies related to the products or services you have ordered. If you don't see an entry for the type of item you ordered, please use the Contact Us button at the bottom right corner of the screen to ask for the refund policy covering that type of item.
Retail merchandise can be exchanged or returned within 30 days of purchase. Returns after 30 days are at the discretion of the Ohio History Store.
Note: Clearance and food items are final sale.
Conditions for Returning Merchandise
1. The item must be new, unused, and in its original packaging with all associated tags.
2. A receipt is not necessary for return however, all returns will be processed to their original form of payment. No exceptions will be made.
3. In the case of online orders, please email ohiohistorystore@ohiohistory.org to begin the exchange/return process. The request must be sent within the 30 day return window to be compliant with our policy. Please include:
- Order Number
- Date of Purchase
- Items to be exchanged or returned
Holiday Returns
Items shipped between December 1 and December 31 may be returned until January 31 of the following year for a full refund.
Death certificate and vital records copy orders can only be cancelled or refunded if we have not started processing the order (usually within 24 hours of receiving the order). Contact vitalrecords@ohiohistory.org to cancel or change an order if it has been less than 24 hours since the order was placed.
Custom digitization, image processing, and microfilm duplication fees are non-refundable after files/products have been delivered.
All National Register Certificate sales are final.
