Take home a unique souvenir from your visit to the Ohio History Center.  Stainless Steel Ornaments by Audra Azoury - https://audraazoury.com/

Our very own Conway Mastodon has been immortalized in laser cut stainless steel.  This mastodon skeleton was found in 1887 in a swamp located between Champaign and Clark Counties in Ohio.  It is known as the "Conway Mastodon" because it was presented to The Ohio State University by Newton S. Conway in 1894.

The Brutalist style Ohio History Center building is characterized by minimalist construction that showcases the bare building materials and structural elements over decorative design.  The term brutalism is derived from the French phrase 'beton brut' - raw concrete.
