Overview
Get ready for the 11th biennial National Juried Art Show—Art of Soul! 2026—a powerful celebration of history, creativity, culture, and community! This year’s theme, “America 250: Our Story,” invites artists from across the United States to reflect on the nation’s journey through the lens of the African diaspora and African American history, culture, and experience. Whether your work speaks to resilience, heritage, identity, or vision for the future, we want to see your story.
All submissions should emphasize perspectives related to the African diaspora and/or African American culture, history, or experience and respond directly to the theme "America 250: Our Story." Submissions will be evaluated by a hand-selected panel of jurors. Participants and winners will be recognized at the Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony at the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center in Wilberforce, Ohio on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Applicants must submit a completed entry form along with their non-refundable entry fee (see Entry Fees & Payments below). Entries will not be accepted, even if payment is received, until the call for artists is completed. Click here to complete the call for artists.
