2019 Regional Meetings
Ohio Local History Alliance
Local History is America's History

Saturdays, March and April 2019
Various locations around Ohio
9 am – 4 pm

At the heart of the Ohio Local History Alliance's mission are Regional Meetings. The people you'll meet and the ideas you'll gather will inspire you, will connect you to others in the field, and will educate you — so can do an even better job of preserving and sharing your community's history. Please plan to join us!

Cross-region meeting attendance is encouraged! You can attend your region's meeting, or any or all meetings in other regions. Please register by the Friday of the week before the date of your meeting. On-site registration is available at all regional meetings. Credit cards cannot be accepted for on-site registration.

Registration fee for Alliance members: $30. Non-members: $35. Registration fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, admission fees, and handouts. Reminder: Organizational members of the Ohio Local History Alliance receive the Alliance member discount for all personnel from the member organization. Not sure about your membership status? Contact us at ohiolha@ohiohistory.org to check!

Bring your historical society's table-top display to a regional meeting to promote your organization. Reserve free table display space by checking the appropriate box on your registration form. Even if your organization doesn’t reserve display space, one table will be set aside at each meeting for brochures — so bring a stack with you.

ABOUT THE OHIO LOCAL HISTORY ALLIANCE The Ohio Local History Alliance was called the Ohio Association of Historical Societies & Museums (OAHSM) until October 2010 and was organized under the sponsorship of the Ohio Historical Society in 1960. The Alliance's new name recognizes that Ohio's history is collected, preserved, and interpreted by a variety of groups: local historical societies and history museums, historic preservation groups, archives, libraries, and genealogical societies. The Alliance's mission is to inspire, connect, and provide educational opportunities for Ohio's community of local historians. Visit the Alliance online at www.ohiolha.org.

Ohio Local History Alliance Regional Meetings are planned by the Alliance's board and local meeting hosts, and are coordinated by the Ohio History Connection's Local History Services department. Visit OHC online at www.ohiohistory.org.
