Placing an Order
When you place an order with us, we request your name, billing address, shipping address, credit card number and expiration date, and email address. We consider this information to be private, and we keep this information on a secure server to protect it from outside parties. We use the information only for the limited purposes of processing your orders, administering our site and in case you’ve selected to be included on our mailing list notifying you of products or special offers that may be of interest to you. We do not share your private information with anyone.
Secure Transactions
When you make an online transaction through the
Ohio History Store, your information is encrypted with the latest 128-bit encryption technology. In the lower right-hand corner of your screen you should see a padlock icon once you start inputting your billing information, which indicates a secure connection between your session and our server. If you double-click on the icon, it will open up a digital certification window. This is an official digital certificate, verifying that you are securely passing information to our online store. Only your computer and our server can encrypt and decrypt transmitted information.
