6" Primer Horn with Wooden Plug

This powder horn was used to carry gunpowder for eighteenth century muskets but eventually became obsolete after self contained cartridges became accessible.

This six inch primer horn sports a wood plug and a leather strap. The horn is actually from a steer. This is a great teaching tool for young people.
