Mount Pleasant and the Early Quakers of Ohio By James L. Burke, Donald E. Bensch
This publication about Mount Pleasant and the Friends Meeting House had its inception in 1968 when Elisabeth Lupton of Mount Pleasant suggested to The Ohio Historical Society that there be a booklet about the meeting house and Quaker customs to answer the questions of the visitors to the meeting house. In addition to responding enthusiastically to this idea, the Society proposed that the booklet be concerned not only with the Quaker religion but with the growth of Mount Pleasant and its history as related to Ohio.
