How to Find Naturalization Records
Sept. 8, 2012 Description

How to Find Naturalization Records
Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Ohio History Center Archives/Library

The United States is influenced by its history of immigration. Ohio has always been a destination for immigrants who were settling into their new country. Records of naturalization were created and exist in Ohio as a result of Federal law. This workshop will describe what an individual had to do to become a naturalized citizen. Research suggestions for accessing information about ancestors who followed the naturalization path will be highlighted using collections available at the Ohio History Center.

Cost: $15.00 OHS/FCGHS members, $20.00 non members
